What are your tasks and what does your day-to-day work look like?
As a training and further education officer, I am responsible for all issues arising in the area of vocational training and am the contact person for LSV. [One part of this is demand and cost planning, placing advertisements, sifting through applicants, inviting them and conducting interviews, drawing up contracts and all the necessary documentation for the start of training, planning and organising the start of training. Together with the trainers, we provide the trainees with technical and organisational support until the end of their training.
What is particularly important to you when working with the trainees?
Open communication is very important to me when working with the trainees. Our trainees should feel that they are in good hands and taken seriously. They should be able to ask questions at any time.
What do you expect from an apprentice?
In addition to reliability and a willingness to learn, the most important points are independent action, initiative and respectful and polite behaviour. It's a give and take.
What do you attach particular importance to in a job interview?
Of course, academic performance is also tested and questioned, but motivation and initiative are particularly important in the interview. Why should it be exactly this job in our company?
